Narcisse Snake Dens

 Five busloads of newcomers watched the spring ritual of thousands of snakes on a cloudy Friday. The students were holding snakes gently and enjoying time together with their families and classmates. The traditional group picture was taken after the picnic lunch.

Valentine's Day

 We celebrated St. Valentine's Day making beautiful cards for our families, friends and teachers. A poster with the translations of "I love you"  in many languages was also posted in the students' lounge. Lovely time together!

Holiday Potluck Party

Almost 300 Entry students and staff with families shared lunch together at the Radisson Hotel. We enjoyed the traditional dances and food from different countries. It was a beautiful celebration of the most wonderful time of the year!

Corn Maze

100 students, staff and their families spent a courteus day at the Corn Maze, 10 minutes south Winnipeg. We visited the petting zoo, participated in different games, climbed up to the top of the bale pyramid, walked through the maze and had lunch together. Wonderful day!














August 24, 2012

Living English 2012

Living English took place from July 9 to August 24, 2010 at Red River College- Princess Street Campus. Classes were held Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and included weekly educational outings in the community.

Assiniboine Park Picnic

Almost 180 students and staff with their families spent a sunny day at Assiniboine Park. The staff organized great games for adults and children and walking tours to the Conservatory and the English garden. The traditional group picture was taken at the end of the wonderful picnic. Thank you to all the staff and students who generously volunteered!

St. Valentine's Celebration

Many newcomers made beautiful cards for their love ones during the coffee break. We sang a song and shared a lovely time together!

Multicultural Food and Dance Party

Almost 325 Entry students and staff with their families spent the evening at the Indo-Canadian Cultural Centre. They participated in traditional dances and enjoyed delicious food from different countries. We all had a wonderful time together!

Living English- Summer 2011

Living English took place from July 4 to August 19 at Red River College- Princess Street Campus. Classes were held Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Birds Hill Park

Almost 270 Entry students and staff with their family spent the day at Birds Hill Park. The staff organized games for the children, and  distributed life jackets, snacks and drinks among the students. The traditional group picture was taken at the end of the wonderful field trip.

Living English- Summer 2010

Living English 2010 provided adult newcomers with activity-based English classes around themes of Family, School, Community, Environment, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Canada allowing participants to develop essential language skills while enjoying summertime in Winnipeg. Living English took place from July 5 to August 20, 2010 at Red River College- Princess Street Campus. Classes were held Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and included weekly educational outings in the community.

300 Entry students and staff with their family spent the day at Birds Hill Park. The staff organized games for the children, and snacks and drinks were distributed among the students.
