Multicultural Food and Dance Party

Almost 325 Entry students and staff with their families spent the evening at the Indo-Canadian Cultural Centre. They participated in traditional dances and enjoyed delicious food from different countries. We all had a wonderful time together!

Living English- Summer 2011

Living English took place from July 4 to August 19 at Red River College- Princess Street Campus. Classes were held Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Birds Hill Park

Almost 270 Entry students and staff with their family spent the day at Birds Hill Park. The staff organized games for the children, and  distributed life jackets, snacks and drinks among the students. The traditional group picture was taken at the end of the wonderful field trip.

Living English- Summer 2010

Living English 2010 provided adult newcomers with activity-based English classes around themes of Family, School, Community, Environment, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Canada allowing participants to develop essential language skills while enjoying summertime in Winnipeg. Living English took place from July 5 to August 20, 2010 at Red River College- Princess Street Campus. Classes were held Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and included weekly educational outings in the community.

300 Entry students and staff with their family spent the day at Birds Hill Park. The staff organized games for the children, and snacks and drinks were distributed among the students. Classes were held Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and included educational outings in the community.

Register at Manitoba START, 228 Notre Dame Ave:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm


Bring one of the following:
landing papers, permanent residence card, provincial nominee program letter of acceptance, or refugee claimant paper. Bring your Manitoba Health card and your passport. Participants must be 18 years of age or have completed high school.
